The wines of Project 3000 are produced by the Tranquilo Bros. a collaboration among two friends, Jeff Welburn and Winemaker Peter Franus. With countless years of combined experience in all aspects of the wine business, it was time for something new and exciting.  The magnificent Red Hills Appellation of Lake County became the enticement. This 3000-foot elevation vineyard on Cobb Mountain never ceases to excite with its stunning beauty and sense of wildness.  Syrah and Grenache are the initial focus.
