2005 Grenache Red Hills Lake County
Rich and concentrated with a wealth of flavor, stretching out from espresso, blueberry, currant, leather and accented by hints of sage and dusty berry, ending with a long, intense, fully tannic aftertaste, but in the end it's the fruit that will shine through on the finish.

2003 Syrah Lake County
The color and nose are both stunning. Still purple and nearly opaque. Fresh, lively scents of clove, allspice, smoked ham, pepper, and lavender. There is no question as to the wine in the glass—it speaks “Syrah,” reminiscent of wines from the Northern Rhone Valley.
With time in the glass, the aromas expand, evolve, and explode. Two years in bottle have settled and integrated the tannins—firm yet palatable. This is not a ponderous and thick Syrah, but rather one with texture and balance, that still has an enormously long life in front of it.

2004 Grenache Red Hills Lake County
Grenache is a finicky variety, but when it realizes its potential, it provides a unique wine experience. In a variety that is often shy to offer color, we are pleased by the medium-dark ruby hue of our 2004. Rose petal, raspberry, and wild blueberry notes in the nose seduce you, made more complex by other forward stone fruit aromas often associated with exotic white wines. The aromas are reflected in the mouth with the addition of other baking spice elements.
The slightly angular structure holds the wine in check, allowing it to further develop in the glass and reveal the nuances and subtleties that make Grenache so intriguing and appealing.
